Sub Inspector arrested for seeking sexual bribe re
A Sub Inspector attached to the Horana Police Station, who was arrested for soliciting a sexual bribe from a woman, was remanded till October 06 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohomed Mihail today.The officers of Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruptions (CIABOC) informed the Magistrate the suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged by the woman with the CIABOC.

18 COVID-19 patients recovered
18 individuals recovered from COVID-19 bringing the total recoveries in the country to 3118, the Epidemiology Unit confirmed.According to the epidemiology unit there are only 168 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country.The total count of positive coronavirus cases found in Sri Lanka currently sits at 3,299.

The idea of this will be to challenge the Constitutionality of it before the Supreme Court, the law academics yesterday told the Daily News.
