1.3k Illinois students could lose access to after-school programs

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Illinois Alliance of the Boys and Girls Clubs said around 1,300 students would not have access to after-school programs by the end of the year without help from the state. The Boys and Girls Club also said 14 of their sites would have to shut their doors as well. Advocates want the state to set aside $50 million every year for community learning centers.
