While filming 'Mermoz' by Louis Cuny, Robert Hugues Lambert was arrested by the Germans in 1943. Producer André Tranché hired Henri Vidal to replace him and organized a secret voice recording session of Lambert behind the walls of the Compiègne-Royallieu camp, where he was interned before his deportation.
