Business Beat: Clothing retailer files for bankruptcy, closing Town Center Mall store

Another retailer is closing at the Charleston Town Center Mall. Specialty retailer of women's and men's casual apparel and accessories, rue21, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and plans to close all of its 540 locations. According to court documents, rue21 attempted to sell its business, but none of the bids were as much as could be earned through shutting down its stores and liquidating its inventory.
