Canon City Police Department warns residents of fraudulent calls

Local citizens are receiving fraudulent calls from a person/persons claiming to be “Sgt. Lora Anderson” with the Canon City Police Department.  The caller informs the citizen that there either is a subpoena for an immediate court appearance or the caller says the citizen missed court and a warrant was issued.  The caller also sometimes says they need the citizen to call about “a time-sensitive” issue.  The number that is provided has a voicemail…
