More than 100 arrests after XR A10 demonstration, around 30 still in custody

The police arrested more than a hundred people during the Extinction Rebellion (XR) demonstration in Amsterdam on Saturday afternoon. According to a police spokeswoman, around ninety protesters were immediately sent back. A few dozen people have to stay in prison longer. They are suspected of intentionally causing danger on the highway. The spokeswoman could not give an exact number, but it would be “around thirty people”.
