Refugee from the UK: Ireland does not want to be a “stupid” for asylum

The tougher asylum laws in the UK are now having an impact on Ireland: With the rise in the number of asylum seekers, the government in Dublin is now considering amendments to the law to allow them to return to the UK. According to the government, more than 80 percent of asylum seekers come to the country via Northern Ireland. Foreign Minister Micheal Martin attributed part of the recent rise to British policy in Rwanda.
