After two years of consideration as to whether information from the 'Sky' app can be used as evidence in a criminal trial, the European Court of Justice has made a decision that data from encrypted applications can be used as evidence in court only if the law of the relevant country is observed and if the state is informed about the measures taken to intercept messages from its citizens.
