Pierce · PierceThanks to a generous donation left in the will of a Pierce resident, the Pierce Municipal Pool is getting a new water slide this summer.
The Sue Brodhagen Estate has donated $30,000 to the City of Pierce, allocated for the city park. Pierce City Council members chose to use the donation to purchase a new swimming pool water slide that will be installed in June. Sue Brodhagen died February 7, 2022. Card Shower To Celebrate 99th
Pierce · PierceMelissa Temple, a candidate for Nebraska Legislative District 19, made a campaign visit in Pierce last Thursday. Temple is running against Rob Dover of Norfolk and Jeanne Reigle of Madison for the District 19 Legislative seat.
She spent the day in Pierce visiting with local residents at the Gilman Park Shelter House.
